College Cohort
College cohort is a program designed to prepare high school seniors to obtain scholarships and unique opportunities for college admission.
Summer Internships
Assistance is provided students in researching an obtaining competitive corporate and specialty internship opportunities. The summer internship is designed to help juniors and seniors get exposure to various careers
Peer Tutoring
Peer tutoring is a chance for high school students to receive help from their peers in a variety of subjects and course work. We believe that this will teach and facilitate leadership development and team dynamics.
OUR GRADUATES
Alexis Underwood
Alexis is the daughter of Alexis D. and Lynn Underwood. Alexis Underwood is a graduate of Northern Guilford High School with a 3.54 unweighted GPA. Alexis Underwood received the Chic-fil-a Remarkable Futures Scholarship and was a member of the Beta Club, National Technical Honor Society; she was also the only person in her class as a junior to complete an internship. Alexis Underwood worked at least 30 hours a week while in school and still maintained a 3.5 or higher GPA and most of all she made it through high school.
Alexis Underwood’s future plans include attending Winston-Salem State University to earn a Bachelors of Science in nursing, specializing in Neonatal as an Registered nurse and then attending East Carolina University’s College of Nursing to obtain her Masters. Alexis’ dream is to become a neonatal nurse practitioner with a background in midwifery.

Joshua Miller
Joshua McNeil Miller is the son of Russell and Reda Miller. Joshua Miller is a graduate of the Academy at Smith with a 2.0 GPA . Joshua Miller has a desire to experience options other than attending college like serving in the military and working full time.

Laryn Mack
Laryn Mack is the daughter of Larry Mack. Laryn Mack is a graduate of Triad of Math and Science Academy with a 3.6 GPA and ranked 28th in her class. Laryn Mack plans to attend Fayetteville State University to pursue a degree in nursing.

Kaleb Artis
Kaleb Elijah Artis is the son of the late Kwame Artis and Nicole Artis. Kaleb Artis is a graduate of the Early College Academy at Dudley with a 3.7 GPA and was ranked 11th in his class out of 312.
Kaleb’s achievements and awards included being a NC Scholar, a member of the National Honor Society, the National Technical Honor Society and the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. Kaleb was also captain of the Dudley High School’s drumline, the marching band of thunder, Vice President of Dudley Fellows and voted Outstanding Band Senior of the Year.
Kaleb Artis plans to attend a summer engineering internship with Samet Corporation and to attend North Carolina A&T University, a Historically Black College and University, in the fall to pursue a career in Mechanical Engineering.
Evelyn Newkirk
Evelyn Lenore Newkirk is the daughter of Jay and Hope Newkirk. Evelyn Newkirk is a graduate of East Carolina University with a 3.5 GPA with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Alcohol and Drug Studies. Evelyn Newkirk plans to attend graduate school and participate in the Shadow Program at Moses Cone Behavioral Health.
